Governor Abdullahi Sule has announced that teachers recruited through the recently exposed illegal employment process in the state will not be retained. He criticized the recruitment for lacking proper planning and for hiring over 3,000 teachers without consideration of actual vacancies, especially in rural schools. Governor Sule emphasized the importance of prioritizing qualified teachers for the education system and assured that while salaries would be paid to those already posted, they would not be retained due to a lack of qualifications. The controversial recruitment had also involved selling job slots for up to N700,000, sparking public outrage.
