NBA National Leadership Suspends Uyo Branch Election, Sets up Caretaker Committee

The National Leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, has set up a Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the NBA Uyo Branch owing to a lingering crisis that has rocked the Branch preventing it from having a smooth election in June 2023.

The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee is Francis Ekwere, Esq. Other members are Essien Essien, Esq and Aver Ishoribo, Esq.

The Committee were sworn-in at the monthly general meeting of the Branch which held at the Bar Secretariat Complex located at Udo Udoma Banking Layout in Uyo. The Committee is mandated to see to the conduct of election for the emergence of a new EXCO in the Branch within one month from the day of its inauguration.
