Nasarawa monarch tasks subjects on peace, unity
The people of Nasarawa state have been called upon to remain united and to give all the needed support and cooperation to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule.
The call was made by a traditional ruler, the Ciroman Agbolagu, Lafia LGA, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa in his 2023 New Year message. He described peace as the only key towards ensuring progress and development.
The Ciroman Agbolagu, however, called on the people of Nasarawa state, especially the youth to shun violence and always see themselves as brothers and sisters with an aim to achieve lasting peace, unity and harmony in the state in particular and the country as a whole.
He commended the development strides of Governor Sule in the state and urged all the residents and communities to take good care of the projects embarked on.
He counseled the people on the need to always put the interest of the state above their personal interest for the overall development and progress of the state, saying “we must support Governor Sule’s initiatives and hard work to enable us enjoy more dividends of democracy”.
The Ciroman Agbolagu commended the cordial relationship existing between the governor and the state council of chiefs, explaining that the relationship has helped towards the attainment of peace, unity and development among others.
