Nigeria Police Declare ‘Notorious Cult Leader’, 2 Baba Wanted For Divisional Officer’s Murder In Rivers

The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, had also placed a N100 million bounty on the head of the suspect.

 

The police in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria, have declared an alleged cult leader, popularly known as 2 Baba as the prime suspect for the murder of the late Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ahoada Police Division, SP Bako Angbashim.

A flyer with the picture of the suspect released by the office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) said 2 Baba is charged with the offence of conspiracy and murder of SP Bako Angbashim.

The Force also promised rewards for the persons who help with the arrest of the wanted gang leader and urged the general public to call 08098880134, 08032003514,08098888801, 08037921407 or 08161355218 to volunteer any information that could lead to his arrest.

The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, had also placed a N100 million bounty on the head of the suspect.

The police have arrested six suspects in connection with SP Bako Angbashim’s murder.

The command in a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko, on Sunday, said the arrest was carried out during an operation at Odumude community in the Ahoada East Local Government Area, with the objective of recovering the body of the deceased police officer.
