Over 100 MDAs Face Worker Salary Forfeiture Over Failed IPPIS Verification

No fewer than 109 federal ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) now risk their workers having their October salaries seized over unsuccessful Integrated Payroll Personnel Information System (IPPIS) verifications.

The Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has confirmed that any civil servant whose records are not verified on IPPIS by Friday, October 27, will be removed from the payroll and forfeit their salary for the month.

The OHCSF, under Folashade Yemi-Esan, had announced a two-week verification exercise ending October 27, after an initial phase saw rowdiness and lack of orderliness.

A list obtained by our correspondent outlined affected MDAs in health, OHCSF and Federal Capital Territory categories, including EFCC, Surveyor Council of Nigeria, Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit and Border Communities Development Agency.

The verification of all civil servants is expected to be concluded by Friday, with the OHCSF reiterating that unverified personnel will be deleted from the payroll immediately.
