The Management of Federal Capital Territory Water Board

The Management of Federal Capital Territory Water Board Authority has advised residents in key areas of Abuja to store up water for use in view of an impending disruption of water supply due to maintainance.

Residents in Maitama, Garki, Asokoro, Kubwa, Airport road and Gwagwalada areas, have been enjoined to prepare for a five-day scarcity of water, following a planned maintenance at the Lower Usuman Dam between Tuesday January 10 and Saturday January 14, 2023.

In a memo released on Monday January 9, the FCT Water Board disclosed that there will be scarcity of water supply for the period of the maintenance.

The circular further advised residents of the affected areas to make efforts in storing water for their daily use during the period of the maintenance.

“We regret the inconveniences this exercise may cause you,” the memo stated.
