We Will Take Over More South East States – APC
National vice chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) (South-East) Mr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu has said the party is ready to win Anambra and all states in the zone as it did last Saturday.
This is even as the Imo Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC) has congratulated Governor Hope Uzodimma on his victory and charged him to run an inclusive government.
Arodiogbu told newsmen in Owerri that the party was working hard to capture the entire South East States.
While he congratulated Uzodimma on his victory, he disclosed that the APC was leaving no stone unturned to take over the reins of power in Anambra State and more states in the Southeast.
The APC zonal vice chairman appealed to Ndigbo to shun regional sentiments and join the party to key into central politics and government to remain actively relevant.
He said “Let the people of Southeast key into the power at the center. And I am very confident that under my watch as the APC National Vice Chairman, South East will get more States and give support”.
He declared the party’s readiness to extend hands of fellowship to the candidates of the Labour Party (LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying they should support Uzodimma to achieve the Imo of their dreams.
Further, Arodiogbu said the party members and the entire people of Imo State were quite happy with Governor Hope Uzodimma’s victory and achievement in office saying “The people of Imo State showed they want APC to continue the good work it has been doing in the state. They want Senator Hope Uzodinma to continue his good works”.
In another development, the Imo state Chairman of the Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC), Ichie Levi Ekeh has expressed gratitude to the people for peaceful polls in the state.
Ekeh, who congratulated Uzodimma, charged him to run an inclusive government.
He said “We appeal to the elect to as much as possible, adopt an all inclusive government that would offer the requisite platform to harness all available potentials as that remains a major panacea to a vibrant, robust and development oriented government that would surely deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of Imo state”.
He called on other gubernatorial candidates in the state to sheath their swords and rally round “Our support to the incoming administration to further deepen our democracy whilst consolidating on our diverse positive visions towards a better, peaceful, progressive and boisterous Imo state of our dreams.”
