[FULL LIST] National Industrial Court Announces Postings Of Judges To New Judicial Divisions

The President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Hon. Justice B. B. Kanyip, has announced new postings for 36 judges of the court across the country.

In a public notice dated November 15, 2023, Justice Kanyip stated he was re-assigning the judges to different judicial divisions under the authority granted to him by the National Industrial Court Act of 2006.

The notice provides a list of all 36 judges along with their previous and new court divisions. Notable changes include Justice Kanyip himself, who will now preside over all divisions, and Justice E.D.E. Isele, who is moving from Kano to Makurdi. Several judges such as Justice M.N. Esowe and Justice J.T. Agbadu-Fishim will remain in their current posts in Lagos and Yola respectively.

Four newly appointed judges yet to be assigned – Justices Danjuma Subilim, Hamza A. Muhammed, A.J. Damachi-Onugba and H. Muhammed Yakubu – are also included in the notice from the Court President.

The notice states the information is for public reference and ease of access to the judiciary.

The National Industrial Court holds jurisdiction over labor, employment and industrial relations cases across Nigeria.
