Order In The New Year: Kano Court Goes On Vacation From Dec 18
The Kano State Judiciary has announced that the High Court will be going on end of year vacation from December 18th, 2023 to January 8th, 2024.
This was announced in a court notice issued by the Chief Registrar, Abdullahi Ado Bayero, on behalf of the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Dije Abdu Aboki. The vacation is pursuant to Order 45 rule 4(b) of the High Court Rules of Kano State 2014.
Hon. Justice Aisha Mahmoud has been designated as the vacation judge who will handle any urgent court matters that arise during the vacation period, after due compliance with laid out procedures.
The Chief Registrar’s notice wished court officials and staff a fruitful vacation as the court prepares to reopen on January 9th, 2024.
This end of year vacation will allow court officials, judges and staff to rest and prepare for the new legal year. Key court operations are expected to resume on the set date of January 9th.
