Edo guber: Shaibu decries destruction of campaign billboards

The deputy governor of Edo state, Comrade Philip Shaibu ,has cautioned those who go about destroying his campaign billboards to desist forthwith.

He said the act is unhelpful because it is Edo people who should decide who becomes the next governor of the state.

Shaibu, who is a governorship aspirant in the Edo state 2024 poll was visibly angry when he visited scene of the destructions of his billboard on Lagos Street, around Ring Road, where he addressed a mammoth crowd.

The deputy governor spoke in Hausa, Yoruba and greeted the people in Esan languages and noted that his campaign billboards were dismantled on two different occasions on same spot.

He said he had secured all the stands for his campaign billboards since June 2023 because “I am a man who plans ahead in whatever I want to do.”
