FCT High Court Proceeds on Christmas, New Year Vacation On December 19th
The Chief Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Justice Husseini Baba Yusuf, has declared that the Court will proceed on Christmas and New Year vacation starting Tuesday, December 19th, 2023.
In a circular dated December 11th, 2023 with reference number JD/CJ.185/318 issued to all Honorable Judges of the FCT High Court, the Chief Judge stated that the vacation will last till Thursday, January 4th, 2024 in line with the provisions of Order 52 Rule 4 of the Court’s Rules.
Justice Yusuf wished the Honorable Judges and the entire staff of the FCT High Court a peaceful and happy Christmas and New Year celebration in advance. He expressed hope that they will return refreshed to resume sitting on Friday, January 6th 2024 after the holiday.
The Chief Judge used the opportunity to felicitate with the staff ahead of the festive season, praying for a highly fulfilled yuletide season. The circular serves as the official notice for the court’s annual vacation to enable judges and court officials to observe the festivities.
