Breaking: Speaker declares 27 seats vacant in Rivers assembly

Factional speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Edison Ehie, has declared the seats of 27 lawmakers vacant.

The speaker said on Wednesday that the seats of the lawmakers who decamped to the All Progressive Congress (APC), from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were declared vacant in line with Section 109 (1) (g) and 2 of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.
