Supreme Court dismisses LP’s appeal against Delta Governor

The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal by the Labour Party and its candidate in the last governorship election in Delta State, Kennedy Pela, seeking the cancellation of the election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of the PDP.

It a judgment a moment ago, a five-member panel of the court unanimously resolved al the six issues identified for determination against the appellants.

Justice Uwani Abba-Aji, in the lead judgment, held that the appellants failed to prove their case as required.

Justice Abba- dismissed the appeal for lacking in merit.

The court has commenced the delivery of judgment on the appeal filed by the candidate of the PDP in Ogun State, Oladipupo Adebutu against Governor Adedapo Abiodun of the APC.
