Hoodlums attack federal lawmaker in Benue community

Alawmaker representing Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency and deputy spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Chief Philip Agbese has been allegedly attacked by hoodlums.

The incident happened during his constituency engagement in Igumale, headquarters of Ado Local Government area, in Benue State on Thursday.

An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity,mentioned that Agbese, was engaged in Easter festivities with members of his constituents when youths armed with dangerous weapons like clubs knives, cutlass stormed the venue and disrupts proceedings.

Agbese was said to have narrowly escaped unhurt as he was whisked away by security personnel.

some of the hoodlums have been arrested by security agencies and investigation has commenced .

Agbese could not reach as of press time but many prominent sons of Ado Local Government condemned the action of the hoodlums believed to have been sponsored.
