CAN urges Gov Kefas to expand cabinet to ease unemployment in Taraba

The Chairman of the Taraba State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev Isaiah Jirapye Magaji, has called on the state governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, to appoint more persons into his cabinet.

He said this would go a long way in reducing the unemployment that is presently bedeviling the state.

He made the called at the weekend at the thanksgiving service in commemoration of the governor’s one year in office.

Speaking through his vice, Bishop Phillip Isaac, he said the governor’s silence in the appointment of special advisers, and special assistants, have made many politicians that worked for him during the election stranded.

Also speaking, the chairman TEKAN/ECWA block, Rev. Phillip Micah Dopah, stressed the need for Nigerians to imbibe the habit of contentment to make the country a better place.

He decried the sorry situation where corruption, greed, injustice and selfishness has become societal norms, and called on Nigerians to desist from it to bring development.

In his remark, Kefas expressed gratitude to God for his emergence as Governor of Taraba State and pledged to ensure grassroot development in all communities in the state.
