2024 NBA Election Voter Verification Commences As ECNBA Opens Data Update Portal

The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) has announced the commencement of the verification process for the voter database ahead of the 2024 NBA General Elections.

In a notice released on May 28, 2024, the ECNBA emphasized the importance of this exercise to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the voter database and to facilitate a smooth and transparent election.

According to the notice, all NBA members are requested to verify their personal details and data on the Voter Database. The verification process will run from May 28, 2024, to June 3, 2024. Members can access the verification portal by visiting the ECNBA website (www.ecnba.org) and clicking on the “Voters List” link or by directly accessing the portal through the provided link (www.ecnba.org/prel.vot.list.search.php).

To search for their names on the voter list, members are required to enter their SCN number (without spacing) and click the submit button. The ECNBA has encouraged members to confirm the accuracy of their phone numbers and email addresses on the database, as authentication tokens for voting will be sent to either or both of them for participation in the upcoming election.

Members with landline phone numbers on the voter database are advised to update them with their GSM phone numbers. Additionally, members should ensure that their phone numbers are correctly integrated with their corresponding country phone code (e.g., for Nigeria, a line that is 08040000000 should be recorded as +2348040000000 and not +23408040000000).
