Ex NBA Port Harcourt Chairman, Chief Okey Owhonda is Dead, NBA Mourns

The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA Port Harcourt Branch has announced the passing of its former Chairman, Chief Okey Owhonda, Esq.

In a statement signed by the Branch Chairman, Cordelia Eke, the Branch condoled with the family of the deceased Ex Chair, stating that he served the Branch meritoriously and would be greatly missed.

FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with a deep sense of sadness and regret that the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch announces the passing of it’s foremost Bar leader and one time Chairman of the Branch, Chief Okey Owhonda, Esq. as confirmed to us by his law firm.

Late Okey Owhonda, Esq. was a consummate Bar man and a jolly good fellow. He served the Port Harcourt Branch meritoriously as it’s Chairman from 2002-2004 and was also a former Branch Secretary. Until his demise, he was the Managing Solicitor in the law firm of OKEY OWHONDA AND CO.

Further details concerning his demise will be announced by his family. The NBA Port Harcourt Branch condoles with members of his family, his law firm and members of the Bar at large.

Owhonda was loved by many at the Bar and will be greatly missed.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
