Yohanna added that members of the party in the local government have declared their unflinching support for Usman’s appointment.
“We wish to congratulate and thank the immediate past chairman and national executive of the party for the leadership they provided during the 2023 elections and throughout their tenure.
“We also wish to thank His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti the executive governor of Abia State, His Excellency our party leader Mr. Peter Obi and all the party leaders and stakeholders who answered the clarion call to assemble in Umuahia to take the initiative to rescue our party from eminent collapse by filling the vacuum with competent and capable hands led by Sen. Nenadi Usman to midwife the process of repositioning the party.”
He called on all party faithful and leaders to support the national caretaker committee under the leadership of Nenadi Usman as they embark on the onerous task given to them.
