IGP urged to take action on Abiola estate petition

The Transparency Network and Public Interest Initiative has urged the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to take swift action on a petition filed by the Abiola Estate.

The petition alleges misconduct, including fraud and unauthorized diversion of funds.

The group’s spokesperson, Dr. Ehizojie Emmanuel Anderson, expressed concern over the apparent inaction from the IGP’s office, suggesting a lack of commitment to combating corruption.

The group emphasized the need for transparency and accountability, calling on the IGP to uphold the law and protect all parties’ interests in this complex dispute.
