‘It’s a matter of time before we arrest Bello Turji’ – Defence Chief Musa assures Nigerians
Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Christopher Musa has reiterated that it is a matter of time before military apprehends notorious bandit kingpin, Bello Turji.
Turji is currently hiding in the forests of Sokoto and Zamfara.
Musa gave the assurance during the 38th-anniversary dinner of the Nigerian Defence Academy’s 38 Regular Course in Kaduna on Sunday.
He stated that the security challenges facing the country, particularly in the Northwest, are significant, saying that the Armed Forces and other security agencies are making progress in addressing the situation.
According to him, insecurity is now a new world order, despite improved technologies. He requested the understanding of Nigerians as the military and other security agencies work tirelessly to combat insecurity.
Musa said, “We are tracking down Bello Turji. Getting him is just a matter of time.”
He stressed that the security agencies are collaborating to ensure the bandit is brought to justice as he has nowhere to hide.
The Defense Chief observed that the security challenges Nigeria faces are part of a global phenomenon, adding that the military is rising to the occasion.
He also appealed to Nigerians for support, urging them to report any suspicious activities, as the military cannot do it alone.
Every patriotic citizens in the length and breath of Nigeria are very happy on the recent onslaught by the Nigeria Military against the bandits in the Northwest especially in Zamfara state. Nigerians are anxiously waiting to hear that Bello Turji the bandits leader in Zamfara state has been eliminated and not captured alive. As the Nigerian Army are the total flushing out banditry, terrorist and other heinous crime in the country, May almighty Allah be on their guide, protect them from the enemies, fight on the side of our soldiers for us to see that Nigeria can witness total peace once again in Nigeria.
