Kaduna Govt reaffirms commitment to Child Rights through laws, policies
The Kaduna State Government has reiterated its dedication to upholding children’s rights through the implementation of laws and policies, according to Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Hajia Rabi Salisu.
Speaking at the zonal policy dialogue on social budgeting for child-sensitive sectors in Nasarawa and North Central zones, Commissioner Salisu highlighted key initiatives such as the Child Welfare and Protection Law (2018), which prioritizes the best interests of children in the justice system.

Commissioner Salisu praised the timely dialogue, which brings stakeholders together to address funding gaps and barriers. She also expressed gratitude to the organizers and UNICEF for their support, anticipating innovative solutions and improved social sector performance.
