Bago hails ex-gov Aliyu at 69, says Niger still enjoying your people-oriented projects
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state has hailed Alhaji Babangida Aliyu, saying Niger citizens were still enjoying his people-oriented projects almost 10 years after his exit as governor.
Bago stated this in a congratulatory message celebrating the former governor on his 69th birthday in Minna.
He said, “The people of the state are still benefiting from some projects executed during the administration of Dr. Babangida Aliyu.”
In the birthday message, signed by his chief press secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor extends his warmth congratulations to the former governor.
He said, “The celebrant as an outstanding, outspoken and courageous leader who contributed immensely to the growth and development of Niger State and Nigeria, especially when he was a Permanent Secretary at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and during his tenure as Governor (2007–2015).”
Governor Bago said that the willingness and commitment displayed by the former governor towards supporting the present administration for the good of the citizenry, regardless of party differences, is unprecedented and commendable.
While appreciating Allah for adding His boundless blessings and for adding another year to Dr. Babangida Aliyu, the governor prayed for more years, sound health and wisdom for his continuous service to humanity.
