President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Ayodeji Ariyo Gbeleyi, Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) on his 60th birthday.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Gbeleyi’s long-standing dedication and service to Nigeria, recognizing his pivotal role in enhancing and transforming public enterprises across the country.
The President highlighted Gbeleyi’s significant contributions in driving foreign direct investment and his track record of public service excellence.
The statement reads: “Mr. Gbeleyi’s disciplined approach, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence inspire progress and reform in our nation’s public sector,” Tinubu noted, commending his leadership in advancing the modernization of key public institutions essential for national growth.
“With an impressive background that includes his tenure as Commissioner of Finance in Lagos State and as the founding Director-General of the Office of Public-Private Partnerships, Gbeleyi has accumulated a wealth of experience in public and private sector governance.
“He has also led as Managing Partner and CEO of GA Capital Limited, bringing his strategic and financial acumen to various roles.
“A chartered accountant and an esteemed member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Gbeleyi has been widely recognized for his professional achievements.
“He holds an MBA from the University of Navarra’s IESE Business School in Spain and has pursued advanced executive programs at renowned institutions such as the London Business School, Harvard Kennedy School, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and Lagos Business School.
“President Tinubu commended Gbeleyi for his leadership at the BPE, noting that his experience and commitment have been instrumental in shaping policies that drive Nigeria’s economic diversification.
“Mr. Gbeleyi has brought disciplined governance and a focus on high standards to public enterprise reform,” Tinubu remarked, expressing confidence in Gbeleyi’s ability to further national economic goals.”
