Minna Chief Imam Dies At 93

The Chief Imam of Minna and one of the most prominent Islamic Scholars in Niger State, Mal Ibrahim Isah Fari, is dead.

He died at the age of 93 on Saturday night and was buried according to Islamic rites.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed grief over the death of the Chief Imam.

The Governor, through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, described the death of Mal Isah Fari as a sad loss to the State and the entire Muslim Community.

He acknowledged that the late Isah Fari was a humble and peaceful ambassador who always preached about love and togetherness.

The Governor said the deceased lived a selfless and fulfilled life, giving his all to the propagation of Islam. He added that his advice and wise counsel would be greatly missed.

Also, the Speaker Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Abdulmalik Muhammad Sarkin-Daji has expressed his condolences on behalf of the Assembly to the people of Minna Emirate over the death of Mallam Isah Fari.

The speaker described the late Mallam Ibrahim Isah Fari as a humble, pious, and bridge-builder who contributed significantly to the peaceful coexistence of Islam and other religions in the Emirate.

He also eulogised the deceased as a religious leader who always preached love, peace, harmony and togetherness and commiserated with the Muslim Ummah in Minna Emirate.
