Tinubu Approves Redeployment Of 11 Federal Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Tinubu has approved the redeployment of Federal Permanent Secretaries in a shakeup of civil service.

Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, conveyed this in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Olotu Eno.

The Permanent Secretaries affected include Mr Gabriel Aduda, who is moved from the Ministry of Women Affairs to the Ministry of Defence, while Mr Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel is also posted from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to the Ministry of Education (to understudy the Permanent Secretary).

Also, Mr Temitope Peter Fashedemi has been redeployed from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to State House, just as Dr Shuaib Mohammed Lamido Belgore, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Regional Development, is to assume duty in his new posting at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

Others affected are Dr. Marcus Olaniyi Osunbiyi from the Ministry of Housing & Urban Development to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security; Engr. Adebiyi Olusesan Olufunso, from State House to Ministry of Works; Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, Ministry of Defence to Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development; Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata Ministry of Works, to Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.

In the same vein, Raymond Omenka Omachi has been moved from the Common Services Office, OHCSF to Federal Ministry of Finance (Special Duties), while Mrs Tinuke Watti, in former Ministry of Sports Development, would now report at the Ministry of Regional Development

Dr. Maryam Ismaila Keshinro from Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs would replace Mr. Gabriel Aduda at the Ministry of Women Affairs.

According to the directive of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, all handing and taking over processes are to be completed on or before 31st December, 2024.
