Tinubu congratulates Sununu on traditional title
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended Dr Tanko Yusuf Sununu, Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, on his conferment with the prestigious traditional title of Danmadin Yauri.
The Minister of State was conferred with the title by the Emir of Yauri in Kebbi State, Dr. Muhammed Zayyanu Abdullahi.
In a statement issued on Friday by his special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the Emir of Yauri for recognising Sununu’s dedication and contributions to the Renewed Hope administration and his impactful efforts in the humanitarian sector.
The President expressed confidence that the honour would further inspire Dr. Sununu to continue his steadfast service to the nation.
Before his ministerial appointment, Dr. Sununu represented Yauri in the House of Representatives, where he established a reputation for effective leadership.
As a renowned obstetrician and gynaecologist, his extensive experience has made him a vital asset in addressing humanitarian challenges and reducing poverty in Nigeria.
President Tinubu extended warm wishes to Dr. Sununu, his family, and the Yauri Emirate as they prepare for the turbaning ceremony on 28 December, urging all attendees to celebrate the occasion joyfully.
