Adamawa Governor Fintiri Signs ₦486.2 Billion 2025 Budget into Law
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has officially signed the state’s 2025 budget, totaling ₦486,218,047,600, into law. The budget, which has been passed by the State House of Assembly, is aimed at funding various government programs and services throughout the fiscal year.
Speaking during the signing ceremony at the Government House in Yola on Monday, Fintiri described the budget as the “Budget of Service,” noting that it was developed in consideration of current macro-economic conditions, such as an oil production target of 1.8 million barrels per day, an oil price benchmark of $80 per barrel, and an exchange rate of ₦1,314.94 to the US dollar.
Governor Fintiri expressed his gratitude to the state House of Assembly for their support and collaboration in the budget’s approval process. He assured the people of Adamawa that the budget would be implemented with full transparency, with every kobo of government spending being accounted for.
Looking ahead, the governor expressed confidence that the successful implementation of the budget would pave the way for Adamawa to become one of the most developed states in Nigeria.
In addition, Fintiri acknowledged the role of the media in reporting the budget process and called for continued positive collaboration with the press in the coming year. He also expressed optimism about the nation’s future, hoping that Nigerians would soon witness positive changes in the country’s current situation.
Top government officials, including Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta and Speaker of the State House of Assembly Bathiya Weasley, were present at the budget signing ceremony.
