Tragic Drinking Contest Turns Deadly in Delta State: Two Dead, Two Hospitalized
A drinking competition in Agbarha community, Delta State, has turned deadly, leaving two people dead and two others hospitalized. The tragic incident occurred when the participants took part in a challenge to win a prize of N100,000.
The contestants consumed a large quantity of a substance believed to be alcohol in full bottles, attempting to drink it all at once. However, tragedy struck when they suddenly collapsed, with two of them dying instantly.
Two others were rushed to a hospital and are being resuscitated. The police have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
The event has raised concerns about the dangers of such drinking contests and the risks involved in consuming large amounts of alcohol in a short period.
