Kano State Verifies Over 5,700 Households in Ongoing BHCPF Enrollee Verification

The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) has successfully verified over 5,797 households in its ongoing house-to-house Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) enrollee verification exercise. This initiative spans 84 wards across seven targeted Local Government Areas in the state.

Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar, the Executive Secretary of KSCHMA, made the announcement during the agency’s weekly morning briefing on Monday. She revealed that, as of January 5, a total of 7,129 beneficiaries had been sighted and verified, further advancing the goal of expanding access to quality healthcare services in the state.

“This significant milestone reflects the commitment of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to improving access to quality healthcare for all residents in the state,” Dr. Rahila noted. She also acknowledged the hard work of the enumerators and supervisors involved in the process and urged them to continue their efforts to ensure proper verification of all enrollees.

“We must continue to work diligently to ensure that all enrollees are properly verified in line with the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) objectives,” she added. The exercise is part of the state’s broader efforts to ensure that all residents have access to essential healthcare services.
