Kano Governor Mourns Sudden Death of Special Adviser Ahmad Bunkure
Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of Ahmad Bunkure, the newly appointed Special Adviser on Works. Bunkure passed away on Wednesday in Egypt, leaving the state and political community in shock.
In a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi DawakinTofa, Governor Yusuf described Bunkure’s death as a tragic and irreplaceable loss to the state, his family, and the broader political landscape. He prayed for Allah’s mercy on the deceased and strength for his family to cope with the devastating loss.
“This is a heartbreaking moment for us as a government. Bunkure was a dedicated professional whose expertise and contributions were expected to help drive our administration’s vision for development. His loss is deeply felt,” Governor Yusuf stated.
Ahmad Bunkure had only been sworn in as Special Adviser on Works the day before his untimely passing, making his death even more shocking to many.
Condolences have poured in from across the political spectrum, including from the National Leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, and other members of the Kano State Government, who have all expressed their sorrow and support for Bunkure’s grieving family.
