Violent Clash Between Cult Groups in Bayelsa Claims Three Lives in Igbogene
A deadly confrontation between two rival cult groups, the Greendlanders and Bobos, has led to the deaths of three individuals in the Igbogene community, located in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The violent clash, which took place at around 8 pm, has left the community in shock and fear.
Reports indicate that a group of approximately 10 armed cultists launched an attack on the Igbogene area, wielding dangerous weapons. Their sudden invasion sent residents fleeing in panic, rushing to lock their doors in a desperate bid for safety.
A local resident, speaking anonymously, provided insight into the tragic events. According to the source, the first victim was the son of a former community vigilante leader known as “Money Sweet.” He was shot near his home by the attackers. The second victim, a non-cultist, was killed when he could not reveal the location of his elder brother to the assailants.
The Bayelsa State Police Command confirmed the incident, identifying the victims as Donaldson Mison, 28, Addy Mulan, 27, and Greenboy Dudella, 29.
The attack has sparked fear among the residents of Igbogene, as the ongoing rivalry between these cult groups continues to pose a serious security threat in the region.
