Court of Appeal Mourns Loss of Head of Litigation, Madam Oluwaseyi Abosede Akanu
The Court of Appeal, Owerri Division, is mourning the loss of its Head of Litigation, Madam Oluwaseyi Abosede Akanu, who passed away on Monday in Lagos.
The Deputy Chief Registrar (DCR) of the Owerri Division expressed deep sorrow at the news, describing Madam Akanu as a kind-hearted and exemplary colleague whose impact on the court was immeasurable.
In a statement to the court members, the DCR said, “I received with deep sadness the news of the death of Madam Akanu, our HOD Litigation, who passed away yesterday in Lagos. I have extended our heartfelt condolences to her family and now share this with all of you. Although we worked together for a short time, I felt her loss profoundly. She was truly a wonderful person.”
Colleagues and staff at the Court of Appeal, Owerri Division, have expressed their condolences, standing united in grief over the tragic loss.
Prayers and support have been extended to Madam Akanu’s family as they face this difficult time. “May her gentle soul rest in peace, and may God console her family,” the DCR concluded.
