Nigeria Police Detain Officer Involved in Viral Video of Currency Abuse

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has detained one of its officers who appeared in a recently viral video involving the sons of Lagos businessman Chief Okoya in the abuse of Nigerian currency. After conducting a thorough investigation, the officer was identified and is now undergoing disciplinary proceedings for his unethical behavior.

The Force’s Public Relations Officer expressed strong disapproval, stating, “The Nigeria Police Force condemns the involvement of any of its personnel in such unethical behavior. This conduct goes against the core values and principles of the Force.”

The statement further reassured the public of the NPF’s commitment to professionalism, emphasizing that the Force will uphold its credibility and maintain the highest standards of conduct.

“The NPF maintains a zero-tolerance stance on misconduct, and appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken against those involved,” the statement concluded.
