Governor Fubara Congratulates Senator Mbata on Election as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has congratulated Senator John Azuta Mbata on his election as the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Mbata, who previously served as a senator representing the Rivers East Senatorial District, was elected leader of the prominent Igbo socio-cultural organization during a poll held on Friday in Enugu.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara expressed that Mbata’s victory is a testament to his widespread acceptance and exemplary character. The governor praised the overwhelming support from delegates, highlighting it as a reflection of their confidence in Mbata’s ability to provide visionary leadership for the organization.
Governor Fubara expressed confidence that Mbata will work to strengthen national unity, foster mutual respect, and promote cooperation both within the Igbo community and across the country.
The governor further extended his best wishes to the new President-General in his efforts to advance the objectives of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and to foster unity among Nigerians.
He added, “On behalf of the government and the good people of Rivers State, I once again congratulate you and assure you of our readiness to work with you toward maintaining and preserving national unity and cohesion.”
