Delta Governor Oborevwori Appoints Aniagwu to Supervise Ministry of Information

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has directed the State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads), Mr. Charles Aniagwu, to take over the supervision of the State Ministry of Information.

Effective Monday, Aniagwu will resume his new role, overseeing both the Ministry of Works (Rural Roads) and the Ministry of Information. He will be taking over from Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, who previously served as the Commissioner for Information.

Despite this new assignment, Aniagwu will continue his duties as the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads), effectively managing both portfolios.

A reliable source close to the Government House revealed that the directive comes as part of Governor Oborevwori’s efforts to revamp the state’s publicity machinery.

Aniagwu, who previously served as the Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa from 2015 to 2019 and as Commissioner for Information from 2019 to 2023, brings extensive experience to his new dual role.
