Nigeria Customs Service Hits Record N6.1 Trillion Revenue in 2024

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adeniyi, announced that the service collected a record N6.1 trillion in revenue for 2024, marking a remarkable 90.4% increase compared to the N3.2 trillion collected in 2023.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, Adeniyi revealed that the NCS had exceeded its 2024 revenue target of N5.07 trillion by 22%, a significant achievement for the service.

He highlighted that the highest revenue collection occurred in October 2024, when the NCS brought in N603 billion.

“This is an unprecedented performance,” Adeniyi stated, detailing the record revenue of N6.105 trillion for the year. “This figure surpasses our target by 22%, and it demonstrates the exceptional efforts made by the service to meet national fiscal goals.”

The achievement marks a major milestone for the NCS, reflecting improved efficiency and revenue generation in 2024, with further details to be released soon.
