PDP Youths Optimistic About 2027 Elections, Cite APC’s Failures

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Youths Forum has expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in the 2027 general elections. In a statement made on Wednesday during a news briefing after a condolence visit to Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, the forum, which comprises leaders from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), conveyed their confidence in the party’s ability to secure victory.

Mr. Jamilu Karshingi, Chairman of the forum and Gombe State PDP Youth Leader, declared that the party is hopeful of reclaiming power in 2027. He attributed the party’s optimism to what he described as the failures of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he accused of plunging Nigerians into hardship, insecurity, and other crises.

“The APC has failed and brought Nigerians into abject misery, insecurity, and other predicaments,” Karshingi said. He emphasized that the forum’s belief in the PDP’s chances is bolstered by the strong leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed and other PDP governors, as well as the party’s solid blueprint for addressing the nation’s challenges.

The youth leader also commended Governor Mohammed’s leadership and development initiatives in Bauchi State, stating that such efforts are exactly what the country needs to overcome its difficulties.

“We also praised the party’s blueprint, which would equip us to tackle the various challenges facing the nation,” Karshingi remarked.

Furthermore, the forum expressed unwavering support for Governor Mohammed and other PDP governors, applauding their commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive governance. Karshingi assured that the youth wing of the party is solidly behind these leaders, confident in their capacity to lead the country to prosperity.

PDP Youth Leader from Cross River, Brown Boniface, also expressed his full support for the party’s vision, stating that the party will bring about positive change once it takes power in 2027.

“The narrative will be changed positively when the PDP takes over in 2027,” Boniface asserted.

Additionally, the Bauchi PDP Youth Leader, Babangida Maliya, thanked Governor Mohammed for prioritizing youth involvement in his administration. “We respect and salute Gov. Mohammed for giving young people important positions in his government. They are representing the youth very well,” Maliya added.

The forum’s declaration reflects the growing confidence within the PDP youth wing as they prepare for the upcoming electoral cycle, with a focus on unity, empowerment, and national development.
