CUPP Condemns APC for Inability to Address Rising Insecurity, Urges Nigerians to Vote Them Out in 2027

The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has called on Nigerians to reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections, citing the administration’s failure to effectively address the nation’s worsening insecurity.

The CUPP raised concerns over the federal government’s inability to safeguard citizens, particularly after the recent massacre of 40 farmers in Borno State by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) on January 12, 2025. The group described the incident as a tragic reflection of the government’s failure to protect its people and ensure safety across the country.

Mark Adebayo, the spokesperson for the CUPP, condemned the ruling APC for neglecting its responsibility to address escalating insecurity, which has left thousands dead and millions displaced across Nigeria. The group emphasized that despite significant investments in counter-terrorism measures, the nation’s security challenges continue to worsen.

Adebayo further called for a radical overhaul of Nigeria’s security architecture to create an effective system capable of combating terrorism, banditry, and other forms of violence that have plagued the country.

The CUPP spokesperson urged Nigerians to vote the APC out in the upcoming 2027 elections, warning of severe consequences if the current administration remains in power. He also extended his condolences to the families of the victims of the Borno attack and reiterated the need for urgent action to restore peace and security in the country.
