Ondo Governor Shakes Up Cabinet, Dissolves Executive Council
In a significant move, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has announced the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council. This was confirmed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure.
The governor’s decision saw the majority of his cabinet members relieved of their positions, but two key officials remain in their roles due to the critical nature of their responsibilities. The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, and the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac, have been retained to continue their important work.
In the statement, Governor Aiyedatiwa instructed all affected cabinet members to hand over any government assets in their care to the respective accounting officers of their ministries.
The governor expressed his gratitude to the outgoing members of the Executive Council, acknowledging their valuable contributions to the progress of Ondo State. He also wished them success in their future endeavors.
