Katsina Police Confirm Doctor Shot by Bandits is Alive and Receiving Treatment
Katsina State Police Command has confirmed that Dr. Murtala Sale-Dandashire, the medical doctor shot at Kankara General Hospital by suspected bandits, is alive and undergoing treatment.
In a statement made to the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday, the police spokesman, DSP Abubakar Aliyu, clarified that contrary to circulating reports, Dr. Sale-Dandashire has not died. He was shot during the attack but is currently in stable condition and receiving care at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Katsina.
Aliyu also revealed that three people were abducted during the bandit attack. He assured that the police are actively working on efforts to arrest the perpetrators and free the kidnapped victims.
