“Police Rescue Ex-AIG’s Wife, Kill Kidnappers in Dramatic Operation”
Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force successfully rescued Folashade Odumosu, the wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Hakeem Odumosu, and killed her abductors in a daring operation. The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the operation’s success during an interview with Channels TV on Thursday morning, revealing that Odumosu was freed on Wednesday.
Folashade Odumosu was kidnapped last Thursday outside her residence in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State, in a brazen attack. The kidnappers forcefully pulled her out of her SUV before taking her through a swampy terrain to an undisclosed location.
The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, led the swift rescue operation that ultimately led to the deaths of the abductors and the liberation of the retired AIG’s wife. Adejobi also revealed that the police had recovered the ransom payment made to the kidnappers, although he withheld the exact amount and the details of the victim’s exact location during the rescue.
This successful operation has brought much-needed relief to the Odumosu family and underscores the determined efforts of the police to combat kidnapping and restore security.
