FCT Police Command Receives 112 Newly Graduated Constables to Boost Security
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command on Tuesday formally welcomed 112 newly graduated Police Constables, who recently completed their training at the Police Training School in Niger State.
In a statement issued by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, it was revealed that these officers are part of the 10,000 recruits who successfully passed out on January 23, 2025.
During the reception, the FCT Commissioner of Police (CP), Olatunji Disu, expressed his gratitude to the Inspector General of Police for deploying the new officers to the Command. CP Disu emphasized that the arrival of the new recruits would significantly enhance the Command’s capacity to ensure public safety and security across Abuja.
In his address, CP Disu urged the officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and discipline in their duties. He reminded them of their critical role in safeguarding lives and property within the FCT, stressing the importance of adhering to international best practices in policing.
As part of their integration into the Command, CP Disu announced that the new officers would take a two-week break before commencing a specialized retraining program to further equip them for their duties.
