Babangida Reaffirms Commitment to Nigeria’s Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections
Former Military President General Ibrahim Babangida has reiterated his commitment to Nigeria’s unity as the political movement, The Nigerian Project, gears up for the 2027 general elections and national reforms.
During a courtesy visit by members of The Nigerian Project movement to his Hilltop mansion in Minna, Babangida reaffirmed his belief in a united and prosperous Nigeria, emphasizing that division within the country hinders meaningful progress.
The former president expressed his unwavering stance on Nigeria’s indivisibility, calling on Nigerians to remain loyal to the nation and its leadership. He urged for inclusive governance that promotes citizen engagement, where individuals can freely express their views, participate in debates, and see policies implemented for the country’s development.
“I believe in one Nigeria, and on its unity, I stand. Thank you for following my footsteps and upholding the ideals of patriotism and national unity that we all fought for,” Babangida told the delegation, underlining the importance of collective effort in shaping the nation’s future.
