Former Deputy Senate President and All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general election, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has assured party members that the ongoing crisis among the party’s leaders in Delta State would soon be resolved.
Omo-Agege made this statement during a series of stakeholders’ meetings with APC elders, leaders, and members across Obiaruku, Kwale, Ukwuani, and Ndokwa West Local Government Areas. He emphasized that the party should not dwell on the past mistakes of the 2023 elections, urging members to focus on working harder to secure victory in 2027.
The former senator praised APC members for their resilience during the 2023 elections, noting that the party’s loss in the governorship race was not due to a lack of support. He stressed the importance of unity within the Ndokwa Nation and called for the party to come together and work as a cohesive team.
“We need everybody to come together and work as a team because the end of one election marks the beginning of another,” Omo-Agege said. “Let us put aside our differences and focus on what unites us. No one enters an election divided and expects to win.”
He highlighted the need for unity, discipline, and strategic planning to ensure that the APC prevails in future elections, particularly in the face of challenges posed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Omo-Agege also highlighted his achievement of establishing the Federal University of Health Sciences in Kwale, a development that he believes will drive economic growth and provide quality education in Delta State.
“We must work harder to ensure victory in 2027,” Omo-Agege reiterated. “Overcoming the PDP’s influence requires unity and collective action. I encourage you all to rise above sentiments and distractions, focusing instead on our shared goal of defeating the PDP.”
He assured the party’s leadership and members that efforts would be made to unite everyone and present a united front for the 2027 elections.
Omo-Agege reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the APC, saying he was ready to work with all party leaders, members, and supporters to achieve electoral success in the upcoming election.
In addition, Omo-Agege expressed his strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing the importance of winning Delta State for the APC in the 2027 presidential election to continue the country’s economic transformation.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda has already yielded significant gains, including higher revenue for states and local governments, better economic growth, and increased income for farmers,” he noted. “To sustain this momentum and ensure the long-term development of Nigeria, it’s crucial that we reelect President Tinubu in 2027.”
