Dr. Ali Bukar Dalori, Deputy National Chairman (North) of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has called for sustainable bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Ethiopia. Speaking at the Second Congress of Ethiopia’s Prosperity Party in Addis Ababa, Dalori highlighted the shared vision of progress, unity, and development between the two nations and their political parties.
Representing APC National Chairman, Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, Dalori emphasized the long-standing relationship between Nigeria and Ethiopia, founded on mutual respect, shared values, and common aspirations. He acknowledged the strength of the two nations’ partnership, which has been built through years of diplomacy, trade, and cultural exchange.
“This gathering is not just about political deliberations; it is a celebration of our collective commitment to progress, unity, and development,” Dr. Dalori remarked. “It underscores the deep friendship between our two great African nations.”
Dalori also praised the alignment between the APC and Ethiopia’s Prosperity Party, noting that both parties are committed to improving the lives of their citizens, promoting economic growth, fostering inclusive governance, and building a prosperous future for their countries.
“As you reflect on your past achievements and plan for the future, I wish you productive and successful deliberations,” Dalori continued. “Though our challenges differ, the solutions lie in solidarity, innovation, and a collective drive for progress.”
Dalori conveyed a message of goodwill from Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, reaffirming Nigeria’s dedication to strengthening diplomatic and trade relations with Ethiopia. He also extended warm greetings from the Nigerian community in Ethiopia, emphasizing their shared desire for peace and prosperity across Africa.
“On behalf of Nigerians, both at home and in Ethiopia, I extend a heartfelt message of friendship and peace,” Dalori said. “May our nations continue to grow together, united by a shared vision of a peaceful and prosperous Africa.”
The event was attended by high-ranking officials of Ethiopia’s Prosperity Party, including President Dr. Abiy Ahmed, Deputy Presidents Mr. Temesgen Tiruneh and Mr. Adem Farah, and other committee members, as well as international political delegates. The congress marked a milestone in strengthening the relationship between Nigeria and Ethiopia.
Dalori concluded his address with a call for continued collaboration between the APC and the Prosperity Party and offered a prayer for divine blessings on both nations. The congress provided a significant platform for both parties to reflect on past achievements and strategize for the future, with Nigeria’s APC reaffirming its role as a steadfast partner in fostering a united and prosperous Africa.
