Ladoja Challenges Akande to Reveal the Truth About Bola Ige’s Death
Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, the former governor of Oyo State, has firmly denied any knowledge about the circumstances surrounding the death of Chief Bola Ige, the former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation.
Speaking to journalists at his residence on Monday, Ladoja refuted the claims made by Chief Bisi Akande, the former Governor of Osun State, who had suggested that Ladoja possessed undisclosed information about Ige’s tragic death. Ladoja expressed his frustration with Akande’s allegations, asserting that they were completely false and baseless.
“I don’t have any hidden knowledge about the death of Chief Bola Ige. I had no problem with Bola Ige,” Ladoja said, challenging Akande to publicly share any details or evidence he might have about the case.
The former governor speculated that Akande’s claims might be tied to his desire to promote a new book. He emphasized that there was no connection between his recent political activities and the death of Ige, calling for Akande to provide clarity on his statements rather than resorting to tarnishing his reputation.
“Maybe Chief Bisi Akande wants to sell his book. I don’t know. There is no correlation between my election and the death of Ige. He should come out and tell the public instead of maligning my image,” Ladoja said.
Ladoja, who now holds the title of Otun Olubadan and has distanced himself from active politics, made it clear that he would explore all available options in response to the ongoing public accusations, but for now, he remains focused on his new role and responsibilities.
