“Senator Aduda Applauds Tinubu’s Appointment of Wike as FCT Minister”
Senator Philip Aduda, the Minority Leader of the 9th Senate, has expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), especially the indigenous people of the satellite towns, for President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Chief Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the FCT.
Speaking during a meeting with political leaders at his residence over the weekend, Aduda emphasized the remarkable progress in infrastructure across the six Area Councils of the FCT over the past sixteen months, noting that these developments would likely not have been possible without the leadership of Tinubu.
He highlighted the ongoing transformation, pointing out that six major roads in the satellite towns, which were flagged off in January of the previous year, are now set to be completed and ready for commissioning by this year’s January. Aduda praised the high quality of work on roads such as Yangoji-Sukuku-Ebo, Paikon Kore-Ibwa, Kuje, Gaba-Tokulo, and Saburi, which were all commissioned just two weeks ago. He commended the efforts of both Tinubu and Wike for their roles in bringing these developments to life.
Aduda also marveled at Wike’s commitment to the region, noting that as the Minister commissioned these roads, he also promised to begin work on additional infrastructure projects in the Area Councils. The Senator was particularly pleased with the fact that President Tinubu had given the people of the FCT a direct representative at the Federal Executive Council (FEC), an autonomous Civil Service, and an indigenous Head of Service for the first time in history.
In his remarks, Aduda called on religious leaders and residents alike to continue praying for and supporting both President Tinubu and Minister Wike, ensuring that they can do even more to elevate the FCT and its people.
