Olorogun Okiemute Okwagbe, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) should accept the dominance of PDP in the state, claiming that APC has no future there. He also criticized former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, saying he lacks the political weight to challenge Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
In a statement, Okwagbe emphasized that the APC has no foundation in Delta, citing the tangible progress under PDP governance. He further argued that Omo-Agege’s attempts to challenge Governor Oborevwori were nothing more than political grandstanding.
According to Okwagbe, Governor Oborevwori’s administration has delivered impactful policies and earned prestigious awards, such as The ThisDay Newspaper’s and Arise Television’s Governor of the Year Award, and an honorary doctorate from Novena University. He concluded by asserting that Delta’s political landscape will remain under PDP’s control, with Omo-Agege’s efforts in vain.
