ICAN Onitsha District Gets New Leaders as Lady Aguzie is Elected Chairman
The Onitsha & District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) is set to usher in a new phase of leadership with the upcoming installation of Lady Aguzie Ogechukwu Loveth, FCA, as the 15th Chairman of the District.
The official investiture ceremony will take place on Saturday, 28th June, 2025, at All Siants Cathedral Auditorium – Clasic Hall. The event will commence with at 1pm Prompt.
Lady Aguzie, a seasoned professional with vast experience and a Fellow of the Institute, has served the District in various capacities over the years. Her election as Chairman is seen as a fitting recognition of her long-standing commitment, professionalism, and integrity within the accounting community.
Born into the respected Ejido family of Akokwa in Imo State, Lady Aguzie is well known for her strong family values and dedication to service. She is married to Sir L.C. Aguzie, a native of Umueshi in Imo State, and they are blessed with four children: Chukwuma, Uzochukwu, Afoma, and Uchechukwu.
The theme for the investiture ceremony, “Digital Transformation in Accounting: Leveraging Technology for Efficiency and Innovation,” reflects Lady Aguzie’s vision for leveraging technology to drive growth, efficiency, and relevance within the accounting profession.
The ceremony will also feature the formal inauguration of the 2025/2026 District Executive Committee, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Onitsha & District Society.
Members of ICAN, distinguished guests, industry professionals, and well-wishers from across the country are expected to attend what promises to be a landmark event for the District.
