Controversial Artist Speed Darlington Wanted by NAPTIP Over Rape, Cyber Offenses
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has officially declared controversial musician Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, wanted over allegations of rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.
The agency announced the development via its official Instagram page on Friday, urging the public to provide any useful information regarding his whereabouts.
“WANTED BY NAPTIP: Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, is wanted in connection with alleged offences including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking,” the notice read.
NAPTIP called on anyone with credible information to contact the agency through its hotline (07030000203) or email (info@naptip.gov.ng).
According to the agency, the artist failed to honour a formal invitation for questioning concerning a viral video in which he allegedly boasted about having sex with a minor.
A letter dated May 28, 2025, had directed Okoye to appear at NAPTIP’s headquarters in Abuja at 9:00 a.m. on May 30, but he reportedly ignored the summons.
